PMT Pty. Ltd., which also trades as Precious Metal Technologies, is an independent, Australian owned and operated precious metal refinery based in Queensland, Australia. We are a full service refinery for the noble metals gold, silver, platinum and palladium.

We specialise in the refining of precious metals from various sources, in particular the jewellery and mining industries. Starting as a small local refiner in 1992, PMT Pty. Ltd. underwent ownership changes in early 1997 that resulted in strong growth and the formation of an extremely viable and dynamic organisation. Experience and expertise matched with modern equipment and methods ensures that we are meeting the needs and expectations of our clients. We pride ourselves on our professional and personal service and we ensure accuracy, integrity and fast processing of all our refining jobs regardless of size or grade.

Our growth has been the result of recommendations and this can be attributed to the fact that we stay closely in touch with our clients and strive to meet their requirements.

Refining and assaying is our core business but we have since widened the company’s scope by providing precious metal products for the jewellers, electroplaters and homeopaths, and providing primary processing facilities for miners.

PMT Pty. Ltd., is an environmentally aware company, and we happily meet or exceed the stringent requirements of the EPA and Gold Coast City Council.
